(VAN NUYS, CA) — The Vivid Entertainment Group, Wednesday, received 71 nominations for the 2004 AVN Awards, the most of any adult producer this year. Furthermore, more than half of the nominations in the film categories went to Vivid features. Winners will be announced January 10th at the 21st annual AVN Awards ceremony at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.
Vivid’s blockbuster film “Heart of Darkness” received 14 nominations, eclipsing any other film, including Best Film, Best Director for Paul Thomas, Best Actor, three Best Supporting Actress nominations, Best Cinematography, Best Screenplay, Best Editing and multiple nominations for individual sex scenes.
The Vivid Girls are up for numerous awards, including Mercedez for Best New Starlet. Female Performer of the Year nominations have gone to Sunrise Adams and Savanna Samson, who also was nominated for Best Actress in a Video.
Vivid has received AVN’s top award for Best Film five times previously, more than any other adult producer in history.
