(LOS ANGELES, CA) — In an effort to move FSC in a more positive direction, the Board of Directors recently relieved former Executive Director Bill Lyon of his duties and installed Kat Sunlove, currently Legislative Affairs Director, as the interim Executive Director.
Sunlove promises a renewed focus on recruiting new members, reactivating old members and on developing new initiatives to benefit our membership and our industry overall.
Among her plans are an industry-wide voter registration drive in advance of next year’s crucial presidential election and increased fund-raising activities to reduce FSC’s financial dependence on dues. “Our immediate needs are financial, as is often the case at the end of the year. We are asking any members whose 2003 dues are delinquent to please send in the balance promptly to help us through our budget crunch.”
Sunlove plans to relocate to Los Angeles in order to fulfill her new duties as Executive Director.
