Dear Jenilee,

Steve Nelson, the editor of AINews sent your question to me about where dancers get breast augmentation and the question of cost.

Exotic dancers/strippers know the difference between a good “boob job” and a bad one. We see so many of both in this industry.

As far as the question of cost—it is hard to determine because I know very little about “the type” of surgery you will need to be happy with the result.

Breast augmentation is a personal choice, and one that is best discussed with a plastic surgeon through what is referred to as a consultation.

My suggestion is that you do as much research as you possibly can about breast augmentation. Here is a website that will help you with that information—I know several women that have found this website very helpful and consider it one of the best: ImplantInfo.com

At ImplantInfo.com you may view before and after photos posted by surgeons or private individuals, find a plastic surgeon in your area, read stories posted by the women that have had the surgery, and also find information about financing your surgery. How’s that for convenience? (*I guess that’s why I love, love, love this website.)

It’s not really a question about dancers and breast surgery and where they get a boob job—unless you are talking about some of the feature dancers that get breasts that are the size of basketballs.(***Please don’t consider those!) I personally know a lot of the women that had that done—and most have gone through hell with back problems and reductions 5 and 10 years down the road.

And the cost… remember financing the surgery is possible. I wouldn’t try to find the “cheapest one.” You need to concentrate on the best surgeon for the job. Your health and well-being are the most important when it comes down to it.

I’m wishing you the best. Please let me know how this works out for you. Take care.

Sincerely,

Rose Garten
