Taylor Wane was born in a small town in the northeast of England, to a close-knit working class family. At the age of 18, her mother entered her into a calendar girl competition. She was studying to be a teacher and had never considered modeling, but that changed after she took first place in the competition even though her number was unlucky #13! She signed with a modeling agency and started with modeling jobs and beer commercials before deciding to move to London.
Taylor was first known as Joanna Gee, and began topless modeling. After a friend told her about her experience modeling in Los Angeles, she headed for the United States. In New York Taylor met some people in the adult industry who invited her to stay with them in Los Angeles. Hungry for new adventures in life, she accepted and headed for Hollywood. Taylor appeared in hundreds of centerfold spreads including Penthouse, Score, Gallery, Fox, Adam Film World, and Hustler from 1989 to present. In 1990 Taylor also began appearing in adult movies, and became hooked when she starred in “Female Persuasion,” working with Henri Pachard and Patty Rhodes. She worked with Randy West, her first on camera guy, and thoroughly enjoyed it! Taylor has been in over 250 movies and still appears in a few movies a year.
Taylor has had many interviews & articles published about her in British tabloids and women’s magazines including the Independent, the Daily Sport, Best, the Sun, the Star, and the News of the World, and has had the honor of being photographed by the Famed ‘Guess Jeans’ Photographer Ellen Von Unwerth for one of them. She has also done music videos for bands like Danzig, Game Related and the Nobodys.
Most recently Taylor worked on the HBO show “Mind of a Married Man”. She has also been seen on Jerry Springer, 48 hours, 60 minutes, the History Channel, the E Channel – sex on the Riviera, and Jenny Jones. She writes erotic columns for ‘Lips’, Leg Pleasure and XXX Erotic film guide available on newsstands nationwide. There is currently a feature about her in a new journal of the adult industry called ‘Porn Star,’ written by Ian Gittler and released by Simon and Shuster. Taylor also wrote columns every month for Swank for over 5 years! Taylor currently has her own production company called Taylor Wane Productions.
