(CHATSWORTH, CA) — AVN Media Networks has appointed adult industry veteran Doug Lawrence as Gay and Bi Managing Editor for AVN magazine, the leading independent authority in adult entertainment.
Lawrence joins Tim Connelly, newly appointed AVN publisher and editor, which whom he worked at Knight Publishing over the last seven years. "Doug brings with him a great skill in nurturing relationships with the movie studios as well as raising the bar editorially. We expect that his work on the GayVN Annual Buyers Guide will solidify its reputation as the benchmark and bible of the industry. Count on it," Connelly said.
A publicist early in his career, Lawrence later worked for Larry Flynt Publications in various editorial positions for 12 years, before joining Knight Publishing, where he served as the editor of the monthly Adam Gay Video XXX Showcase and the Annual Adam Gay Video Directory.
"One of my big interests is finding out what the gay film studios really need in terms of editorial coverage," said Lawrence of his new position with AVN.
