(VAN NUYS, CA) — The Free Speech Coalition will hold a General Meeting at the Airtel Plaza Hotel in Van Nuys, California, on Thursday, May 8, 2003, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

This important meeting has been called in response to recent inflammatory articles on Adult Industry health care and the resultant calls for regulation and/or legislation. The meeting will provide an open forum between the Adult Entertainment Industry, Aim Health Care Foundation, the Los Angeles County Health Department and California legislators or their staff who are considering regulation of our industry.

The event will feature reports by Sharon Mitchell, Executive Director of Aim Health Care Foundation, and Dr. Peter R. Kerndt, Director of the L.a. County Health Department’s Sexually Transmitted Disease Program. Key legislators have been invited to attend and present their views. There will be a Q & a session following the talks.

The evening’s program will also provide important new information on healthcare protocols. It will present a rare opportunity for industry leaders to meet and discuss issues with healthcare professionals and legislative representatives.

We look forward to a big turnout and a substantive discussion. These FSC general sessions are like town meetings for our industry, an opportunity for our people to participate in the political process and get our views to our elected representatives. This is an important part of the process of mainstreaming the industry.

Don’t Miss This Important Meeting!
