(CHATSWORTH, CA) — You might not think that a video on the history of the ass would be interesting. If you don’t, clearly you haven’t seen Rosebud’s Assficianado, a title scripted and directed by Andre Madness that explores the anal depths of beautiful stars like Monica Sweetheart, Angel Long and Daniella Rush.
After winning an AVN Award for Best Group sex Scene – Video at the 2003 AVN Awards (thanks to Long, Jay Ashley and Pat Myne), the company decided Assficianado was too good to leave at one volume, and commissioned Madness to make it a series.
“I’m happy they want to do more because it’s one of my most creative series – it’s my cross of History of the World with the Rocky Horror Picture Show meets porn,” Madness says. “It’s hosted by Frank Bukkwyd, who brings a narrative comic relief adding to the leads of each vignette. The scenes themselves are some of the strongest I’ve shot. Everyone seems to bring their a game for me with this title.”
Company liaison Joey Wilson worked on the first title with Madness and wasn’t surprised at the response it got.
“Madness came up with the vignette style and the idea,” he says. “It was Andre’s storyline and my titling and marketing. We put together a great project, different from everything else Rosebud was doing – the company was focusing on more of a gonzo-style, and Assficianado is more of a story-driven vignette style. There were seven nominations for the title alone, and once we saw that we decided we should definitely do more.”
Marc Kramer, the head of production for Pleasure, has high hopes for the future of the series and Madness, and notes that Assficianado 2 is now available.
“We’re going to get nominated for number two, and we’re about to shoot number three,” he says. “Andre Madness is a complete professional. We’ve been working together for four years and he’s come a long way. There’s not too many directors that I can count on that will go the extra mile – he’s looking at dailies, his productions come in on time and on budget. he’s not just there to get a paycheck, he’s there to make a good movie. He is very into what he does – he actually cares about what he’s doing. And I can’t say that about a lot of people.”
While Assficianado dealt with the history of anal sex through the ages, Assficianado 2 showcases how anal sex has inspired music over time. What kind of ass history will we see in Assficianado 3?
“I’m working on a script for it now,” Madness says. “But whatever the focus, I plan to keep the integrity of the sex strong throughout the series.”
