I’ve just returned from a full week in Las Vegas attending Adult Industry events and conventions/expos. Adult Video News (AVN) did yet another absolutely fantastic job of organizing and operating their 2003 Adult Internet Expo, and their Adult Entertainment Expo. I spent the entire week at their two events, where I witnessed almost-constant smiles on the faces of insiders and fans alike, and where convention efficiency ran at max levels.
The Internext event, focused around adult web site matters, provided attendees with almost every possible resource they could possibly hope for, along with great networking opportunities and meaningful seminars. And, yes, the parties ruled, too! The AEE (Adult Entertainment Expo), which some folks seem to still think of as the “adult portion of CES” even though AEE is now a huge separate event, was jammed packed with business opportunities and interaction, fabulous fun, beautiful “eye candy”, and fan involvement.
Trust me, if you’re ever feeling personally dull/depressed, overworked, or in need of “recharging”, these AVN events will do the trick for you! Almost every active adult actress was there! On top of that, add in the glitz of the AVN Awards Show and it’s likeness to the Academy Awards Show, and you’ll be one very happy camper! The events draw almost every insider, and thousands of fans of adult entertainment (e.g., 3,500 folks enjoyed the glamour of this year’s AVN Awards Show!).
Upon reflection, there’s no way this almost 63-year old memory can list all the people of significance in attendance; let me just say that it was a week where almost the entire world of adult enjoyed themselves, and conducted a lot of business, and had the fun and privilege of interacting and mingling with consumers and fans. Parties were elegant, numerous, and beyond fantasy!
Keep an eye out for the Playboy Television coverage of the 2003 AVN Awards Show, and for upcoming programs from the many crews I saw at AEE (e.g., CBS/60 Minutes, HBO, Showtime, etc) filming the different events of the week.
Personally, I had an absolute ball all week. Although my “Knee Pad Nymphos” video line was nominated by AVN for Best Oral-Themed Series, and Vol 3 received an AVN Awards Show Nomination for Best Oral-Themed Feature, I didn’t win this year—however, the fun of the entire week made me feel like a winner! Getting photographed by/with/for the fans and consumers of adult entertainment is always a personal honor for me, one I will certainly thank God for as I’m passing through the gates of Heaven! Seeing so many co-workers and “insiders” all in the same week was an absolute delight; and, most of all, meeting and chatting with fans is the ultimate in happiness! Seeing the tens of thousands at these shows again verifies in my mind that 98%+ of the people of the world privately love porn, even though a small percentage of folks sometimes publicly bad-mouth it (except, of course, for those moments when they are sexually fantasizing and/or masturbating)! While in Las Vegas, I filmed both oral and sexual positions scenes for my “Sex Fun”/”Sugardaddy”/”Knee Pad Nymphos” series; having filmed with Felicia Fox, I am now a personal fan of that awesome starlet!
I am also still walking around with a constant smile on my wrinkled old face for having filmed with (first-timer) Julie Love, Tara Wild, Shannon Getsit, and (18-year old) Trinity James – all of these beautiful and sexy young ladies have websites worth checking out!
I attended so many enjoyable parties and did so many fun things last week that it would take another full page to list them; however, let me specially mention the charity benefit which Sunset Thomas, Christi Lake, and I hosted/emceed for the 1-800-Suicide Hopeline event – it was absolutely awesome and made us all feel good about supporting the Las Vegas Plush Magazine and the Las Vegas Xcitement Magazine organizers of the “Night of Adult Stars” charity event!
I’m turning 63 soon, and I fully intend to keep filming with young starlets, to keep attending the awesome Industry events, and to keep spreading my message that sex between consenting adults (including with one’s own hand) is indeed natural, normal, and healthy!
In closing, please keep the safety of our military folks in our minds, prayers, hearts, and souls; they are on the Frontline of preserving democracy, and protecting the freedom-loving people of the world from terrorism and harm!
