(BEVERLY HILLS, CA) — Mystique Model Management owner Tabetha Yang announces that the company’s popular actress Friday is a guest on an upcoming “Dr. Phil” syndicated talk show. The program takes a behind-the-scenes look at the reality of working in the porn industry. The topic arose from the many e-mails the show’s host receives from wives complaining that their husbands view too much pornography. No air date has been set, but it is scheduled to be broadcast during television’s November sweeps period.

The articulate Friday, a former exotic dancer who turned to making hardcore films to support herself and as a possible entre’e into mainstream acting and modeling, is the only guest on the show that offers an honest look at the negative side of working in porn. “I don’t hate the industry,” she says. “I have been fortunate to be able to make a living in it and have met some very nice people.

“However, I had it pretty rough in the beginning and I regret a lot of that. Looking back on it, I feel my career started at the wrong end of the spectrum. But I have been lucky. My mainstream career is on its way up, rather than down as happens to many in the industry.”

While Ms. Yang appears with the actress on the show, she does not get involved in the on-air discussion. However, she states the industry is not really as glamorous as some people believe. “No matter how kinky a wanna-be actor or actress may think they are or how good a brain they have, it is still a job. The routinism, boredom, repetitiveness, dead-end feelings are no different than, say, what a bookkeeper, lawyer, secretary, assembly-line worker, whomever experiences on the job every day.”

70 films and two years after beginning her hardcore career, the talented Friday is now trying to extricate herself from it and pursue her long-time dream of doing mainstream acting and modeling. “I have always wanted to be a feature dancer more than anything in the world,” she says. “When I was a house dancer, I would see these spectacular women come into the club with the red carpet rolled out and the manager, literally, bowing at their feet. That’s what I wanted.”

Yet, she says, she was told that before that could happen she would have to do hardcore porn to make a name for herself. “I now know that simply is not true. If you’re a model or a performer, there are clubs that will take you without you first having to have sex on film.”

As for why she agreed to appear on the show, the petite beauty says, “I don’t regret getting into the adult industry, but I do regret some of the people that I came across and decisions I made. I simply don’t want someone else to wake up one morning and find themselves in the same position.

“I don’t want some young mid-west high school graduate to run out to Hollywood and think, ‘Oh, I can make tons of money and be famous!’. It doesn’t work that way. They really need to take a serious look at this business. Then be sure and treat it like a business. They need to be smart and not let some ‘wolf’ out here get a hold of them. My advice is, do your research. Get educated. Be realistic, don’t think Mommy and Daddy won’t find out what you’re doing. They will.”

In the past few months, beside the “Dr. Phil” episode, Friday has made two appearances on the “Jenny Jones Show” and an appearance on “The 5th Wheel”. Additionally, she is headed to Hedonism 3 in Jamaica to a shoot for Centerfold Models and Playboy. She also has auditions lined up with the Sci-Fi channel and for music videos, as well as having been asked to make appearances as popular comic book characters.

The fact that Friday’s mainstream career is going well helps prove Ms. Yang’s theory that just because someone is in or as done porn, it doesn’t mean they can’t do mainstream work.
