Greetings again from the Pundit of Porn! My apologies for the long absence but I have been busy scouring the virtual mailbag, which has been filled to capacity with questions from my adoring public. Missed Me? I hope so because I sure missed everyone out there and I thank you for the avalanche of emails. After all it’s what keeps me employed at this electronic fish wrap!
In this column we shall cover a plethora of Industry related subject matter, yours truly will answer questions from straight to gay, vanilla to hardcore, there will be something for everyone. I will even relay words of wisdom gleaned from the Scion of Sin himself: Mr. Jason Sechrest. But before I proceed to satisfy the inquiring minds of my inquisitive public, I would like to address an issue we could all benefit from and that is the subject of email etiquette. It seems like some people out there are in need of a spanking from Miss Manners. For example:
In my last column I answered an email from this individual regarding the legendary TS beauty Antonia L’More (no relation). In spite of the fact I answered the email, provided a link, then personally forwarded my response to them, this person has continued to spam me incessantly with the same tiresome question. Excuse me, but are you sure that your real name is not Helen Keller? Or are you the kind of loser that tells bad 9/11 jokes in redneck coffee shops? May I suggest you try reading my column for a change to see if your question has been answered? Everyone else follows that approach and it seems to work fine for them. For the last time, here is the original question and my response:
Subject: TS Date: Wed, 3 Jul 2002 17:07:11 -0700 (PDT) From: Cher [redacted]@yahoo.com> To: Antonia@AINews.com
“Do you know a transsexual model named Antonia L’More who appeared in an old Nugget 1991 article?”
Now here is my response please read it!
Dearest Cher, I searched the Internet far and wide for information about my namesake and was not able to glean much information about her recent whereabouts. But don’t despair, you may still find the lovely Antonia L’More displaying her charms in vintage issues of “Nugget” and other fetish ‘zines by going to TimsBookExchange.com/Fetish.htm. Enjoy!
Ok, Get it? Got it? Good!
Then there is the issue of Shouting! These are folk whose cap lock must be permanently stuck in their keyboards, as a result they write in all capital letters. This is the email equivalent of Shouting! Example:
Subject: Help Date: Tue, 6 Aug 2002 19:39:25 EDT From: [redacted]@aol.com To: Antonia@AINews.com
I WANT TO BE A INTERNET PORN STAR OUT OF MY HOME AND DONT KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN.CAN YOU PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE THANK YOU SO MUCH MEGGY
Ssssshhhhhhh! I can hear you just fine; you don’t have to shout. Unlike the above-mentioned Helen Keller, I am not deaf either. Why don’t you try visiting WebCamIndex.com? This site is the How, Why, when, and Where of the booming home based Internet industry. It features links, advice, referrals, everything you need to know about getting started. Good Luck!
Now on to familiar ground, once again I am beset by questions from those wanting to break into the Industry. Some want to work in front of the camera, some behind. Some from the East coast, then some from waaaay Far East in Japan. This is where research gets really fun since I had the pleasure to discuss these issues with none other than the deviate boy himself: The legendary Mr. Jason Sechrest. You may know him from his web site JasonCurious.com/ or his radio show on KSEXradio. Jason is the expert on all things twisted. I had a chance to exchange views with him regarding these wannabes and this is what he has to say, now please pay attention:
“Hey there, Antonia!
I get a lot of questions like that as well and I think the best answer you can give any straight man is to get in good with a chick. Most people break into the biz with a chick on their arm or from dating a girl who is already well known within the industry. If a girl recommends you and requests you on a set, that’s all you need really. But without the girl behind you, it’s nearly impossible to get in. Gay men on the other hand… don’t go after the stars, go after the directors!”
So to follow up on these pearls of wisdom which drop from the knowing lips of my esteemed colleague let’s do a quick wrap up of the “wannabe” questions:
A reader from Indianapolis asks:
Subject: Gay porn From: [redacted]@aol.com To: Antonia@AINews.com
Hi, I’m trying to get into the gay porn business. As a tranny or cross- dresser. I live in Indy. Do you know where I should start looking? How much should a sexy tranny make per film? Also I’d appreciate any other advice you might have.
Thanks, Andy
Hey Andy, you sound to me like you are a good old-fashioned horny Hoosier. Believe or not, I was able to find a web site just for you. It is called: Sensual1.com/tskhtml/Regional_Guide/USA/Indiana/ This site has information on just about any alternative venue in your fair city. Give it a surf and let me know what you think. Good Luck!
Now on to the other side of the Mississippi River:
Obi at [redacted]@Hotmail.com wrote the following….
“Dear Antonia, How does one get into Porn auditions on the East Coast? I love your column! Thanks, Obi”
Thank you “Obi”-wan kenobi! Now here’s your only hope, Go to: TheFloatingWorld.com This is one of the most comprehensive and informative sites I’ve found that reports on the East Coast branch of our beloved Industry. Have fun bringing young Skywalker over to the dark side! Ha!
And as we now complete our world tour we will answer a question from the land of the rising sun.
From: SM3 Dickey [redacted]@vincennes.navy.mil>
To: “‘Antonia@ainews.com‘” Antonia@ainews.com
“Sayonara:
I want to stay in Japan and work in the industry as an actor. How do I get connections in Japan?”
Most humble thanks honorable Dickey-san. Believe it or not, there is actually a “University of Porn” based in Japan. No, I do not know if they offer scholarships. But it is worth looking into. You may click on either one of the links provided below to explore the “Annals” of higher education.

Then we have those who want to cross over the hill and work “In the Valley”.
Bryan at [redacted]@msn.com wrote the following….
“I want to know how to get into the adult film industry. I want to be in the technical end not the acting end. I might do some acting. I look the part, but I would rather do something on the set.”
Dear Bryan, you can read up on how to break into the Jizz Bizz as “crew” working “In the Valley” by linking to my previous column on precisely that matter: AINews.com/Archives/Story1950.phtml (“Ask Antonia Anything – More E-mails Answered”)
Well now that we’ve covered just about every entry into the Industry I expect all of you miscreants to rack up a lot of AVN awards in Vegas next year. Again, if you are a Tranny please read both parts, and if there are anymore questions, please refer to my previous column, “So you wanna be a Porn Star”.
Before signing off I would like to answer the questions of those wanting to be the next Danni Ashe [web-wise, NOT weight-wise]:
From: Paul [redacted]@lvcm.com> To:
“Do you think it would be a decent idea to start an adult website who’s primary focus is heavy women? It seems that this market is not very dominated. I have a few girls who are interested and just don’t know how to move forward from this point. I mean I have the design capability and the web know how, but I am not really sure if this is something I should focus on. Help please hehehe!”
Dear Paul, you are absolutely correct, BBW’s are sadly overlooked in this Industry and I am constantly barraged by questions about them by my readers. If you have the ability to build and design a web site then that is half the battle right there. Once you have the site built then you need to subscribe it to the appropriate search engines and adult malls. One very good ISP that caters specifically to Adult web sites is Verio. Check them out, they are expensive but worth it. Once you have the site up and running send me the URL, I will gladly take a look at it and give it a plug in my column. Good Luck!
And finally this from Porn’s answer to Lillian Hellman:
Karen at [redacted]@Hotmail.com wrote the following….
“I was wondering if you could direct me to a site or resource that will provide me with a comprehensive list of adult video studios/production houses. I would like to submit a script (don’t laugh!!!) to such studios but I cannot find a database of contact information. I have searched the web for ages. Help!!! Please”
Wow Karen, no need to be desperate, I promise I won’t laugh (Ha!). What I recommend is that you purchase a copy of the “The Very Blue Book”, which is available through this fine publication. There you will find the information you need to get started. But what you really want to do is direct right? Good Luck!
Ok my lovelies that is all for now, keep those emails coming!
Hugs,
Antonia
