(HOLLYWOOD, CA) — Famed comedy club, the Improv, hosted an evening of hard-core “blue” stand-up comedy mixed with adult personalities with the debut of the “Red Light Comedy District”. Penthouse Pet and radio/television personality Sam Phillips co-hosted the event with fan favorite Rick Overton. Also on stage to try out their comic timing (and in their clothes) were Penthouse Pets Alexus Winston and Nikki Nova.

A little back story on the evenings hosts.

Sam Phillips is a former Penthouse Pet and broadcast journalist for Playboy TV’s “Sexcetera” and also past radio buddy of Sheena Metal when both had their own radio show on local KLSX 97.1 Talk Radio. The star was catapulted to mainstream and became a household name last year with the success of the nationally syndicated Columbia/Tri-Star television show “Men are From Mars, Women are From Venus.”

Rick Overton is an Emmy Award-Winning writer for “The Dennis Miller Show” and starred opposite Bill Murray in the blockbuster comedy “Groundhog’s Day.” & also in the Ron Howard/George Lucas epic, “Willow.” Overton and Phillips will introduce headliners Dom Irrera of “Comedy Central Presents,” Sarah Silverman of “Conan,” “Letterman,” and “Greg, the Bunny” show fame; and ending the evening with comic superstar, Richard Jeni, who was recently showcased in his fifth HBO special, “A Good Catholic Boy”.

Towards the end of the evening, adult personalities Alexus Winston and Nikki Nova had the opportunity to showcase their comic improv with the nightclubs best comics in a round of improv and theater games. Phillips, Winston, and Nova were available after the show to do an interview with Internet personalty and PR guru, Jason Sechrest, for the new local adult industry television series, “The Jizz Biz!”

Porn industry celebs in attendance sighted were Kimberly Chambers and hubby John Styles, KSEXradio.Com personality, Wankus, AVNLive’s video personality, Juliet Cariaga and many other industry insiders.

Highlights of the evening were when comic Rick Overton had to change his whole routine to destroy the hecklings of a rude porn industry audience member. I’ll have the tact here to not say their name, (only because they were such a nobody it wouldn’t matter). Show stopper was when sexy comic, Sarah Silverman, shocked the audience with her recent material that got her banned for ever repeating the episode she did on the Conan O’Brien show recently. Richard Jeni brought down the house with some of the best material he has had in years.

Be sure to catch the highlights this Fall on cable television on “The Jizz Biz!” and also check back here for future “Red Light District” comedy shows at the Improv.
