Anyone who has been involved in the Internet game will tell you or ask you how are you going to get the traffic to your site? That was our predicament over 11 years ago.
It became apparent one morning when Steve Banan came into the conference room sat down, slammed his hand down on the table and said, “Fellows lets get off the pot or shit, what’s it going to be? Do I close this fuckin’ office today or do we come up with it?!”
A young upstart by the name of Charles Ruderman from Queens N.Y came up with ITA which stands for Internet Transfer Authority. The idea of transferring adult material through email was being done every moment through AOL in the chat rooms. So why couldn’t we start transferring adult oriented material through our very own accumulating email list that we were acquiring on all of our 300 websites.
That evening Steve and I took the subway to Charlie’s apartment in Queens NY and he showed us just what he meant. He had written a mailing program to do just what we wanted: ITA. He also taught us something that evening. Since Steve was the only married person in the room. Charlie asked Steve what size underwear does your wife wear? To my amazement Steve could not answer that question and immediately called and found out it was a 5. Charlie explained you see very few men know that answer. When your in the chat-rooms and your talking or think you are talking to a women ask her that question and if she can’t answer straight away, run. From that, analysts Charlie realized who was really in the chat rooms and who we were going to specifically target.
So ITA was born, a less intrusive adult mailing program. We did encounter at times the spaming issue. Later on it became apparent to Steve that even though we had 1600 clients now using ITA it was not the direction that he want to take this company.
Soon after your WP&A-Adult News (webmail) was started the first actually in all sincerity the second to, the parent ITA. Following in our foot steps were Vivid and so many others we can’t even begin to count.
WP&A Adult News coupled now with King Global Media keeps us above the rest and makes us the unchallenged leader in adult webmail.
Most in the industry have come to a harsh reality, but a comfortable understanding that your WP&A-Adult News is not here to hurt them, but quit the opposite. WP&A-Adult News is here and it is here To Stay! We welcome the adult entertainment industry to stop trying to gain superiority, but to join us and together we can, if you will excuse the pun climb every mountain.
Last week our former President, Publisher and my best friend for all time Steven William Banan came out in a very touching moment and asked everyone in the adult industry to support a good friend and love Ms. Sharon Mitchell and AIM Healthcare Foundation. I am asking the same AIM Healthcare Foundation operates from the support and donation from others. Webmaster would it really hurt to turn over some of that advertising and banner revenue to AIM Healthcare? I don’t think so.
As always in the changing of the guard there are going to be noticeable, but I hope favorable changes. Steve has graciously, but with pay accepted to stay on until the end of the year or as long as he can god willing as a staff writer and interviewer on three of our new 52 modular units that we will be installing this season. Unfortunately, some of the other adult oriented shows will be by membership only.
(1) The Icons in Our Industry Hosted by Steve Banan. Our first icon, whether he believes or not will be Adult Stars Magazine editor Steve Seidman. We plan to have a new Icon with their trials and tribulations and what it took to get to the top each and every month.
(2) The Publisher of the Periodical Hosted by Steve Banan. Are they all lost souls to the cyber-world? That’s the question we hope to be answered by some of the leading publishers and writers of some of the leading magazine still operating today.
(3) A Day in the Life of a Pornstar Hosted by Steve Banan. We thought it would be very interesting to see what a Pornstar goes through from waking up in the morning until going to sleep at night. Steve who had lived with pornstar Nicole Moore for many years told me, “this one will have no hands barred, with makeup without makeup, I hate this fuckin’ girl she took my fuckin’ part, listen to me you asshole, I want to fuck him not her. I won’t work with a she-male! This one is available why can’t I do her? There will be no editing, we will be broadcasting it just as it was taped. Expect to see things and hear thing that will just drive you wild. I plan to have streaming media, interviews and lots of captured for all time stills”.
Steve told me that his first show will be with the very beautiful and talented “Jewels”. His next show will be with a good friend someone he met several years ago the legend Amber Lynn. He plans to do these show with who and where ever it may take him.
