(HOUSTON, TX) — A day after Playboy magazine announced it wants to publish a "Women of Enron" issue, hundreds of current and former Enron employees contacted the magazine to find out more about possibly becoming a nude model.

News2Houston spoke with Micha Makowsky, a former Enron employee who now owns her own successful business. But Makowsky said she might consider an offer from Playboy.

"For the right price and the right circumstances, yeah, absolutely," Makowsky said. "Sure, why not?"

The 33-year-old said she was stripped from some of her savings a few months ago when Enron collapsed.

"If it pays the monthly bills, hey, you have to do things to pay the bills," Makowsky said. "So, I have no problems with it."

Playboy said it’s interested in Enron employees because they have a story to tell.

"They were working there. We can kind of tell their stories. We can put a little bit of a human face to this," said Kevin Kuster, Playboy’s senior photo editor. "One of the things that the company has been founded on is the girl next door. This actually is the girl next door, who used to work at Enron"

"If the money is actually in the six-figure range, she (an unidentified Enron worker) may consider (it)," said Tony Huang, who read a posting on the EnronX.org employee Web site. The Web site has been flooded with responses, for and against.
