Wankus at Staples Center

(LOS ANGELES, CA) — On March 15, 2002, Los Angeles Laker fans never knew what hit them! When the halftime buzzer sounded, KSEXradio.com‘s, Wankus, ran out of the tunnel onto center court in front of the sold out 20,000 person Staples Center. “I got friends all around the country, that tell me Los Angeles is the most boring city in the world,” Wankus shouted. Various boos were heard from the crowd as Wankus continued, “I got friends that say we got no pride, we got no heart and we could just plain care less about having two World Championship teams!” At this point the sold out arena full of locals, started rumbling as Wankus screamed, “Let’s prove ’em wrong…Somebody Make Some Noise!!!!”

As the crowd stood up and screamed, the music kicked in and Wankus began his chant, his rap and his song to a very loud, interactive crowd. It was LA Sparks Day at the Lakers/Clippers game and Wankus was gettin’ people fired up about women’s basketball. Following the opening performance, Wankus introduced players and key figureheads for the LA Sparks, including President Johnny Buss, WNBA MVP Lisa Leslie and Coach Michael Cooper, a former Laker legend. Rachel Worth, from Worth-a-Million.com, was on the floor video taping the event and provided all photos and video clips.

Following the event, Lakers representatives, who initially told Wankus he would struggle with a difficult Los Angeles crowd, asked him if he was interested in doing it again. Wankus responded, “Call me anytime! Hearing that crowd scream, when I was told they wouldn’t make a sound, was awesome!”

Industry people in attendance: Tim Goddard & Angela Page of Wildvelvet.com, Heather Lyn, Jacklyn Lick, Daisy and Mike Rick of KSEXradio.com, Renault West of AdultCon.com and scattered others, including the Pussycats from the new KSEXradio/KLSX show.
