(HOLLYWOOD, CA) — J.C. Adams, the former editor of Unzipped Monthly magazine and longtime porn reviewer and writer, has been handed the reigns of a new publication dedicated to the gay porn industry titled Inside Porn magazine.
The digest-sized full-color magazine is being published to promote the entire gay XXX community and associated industries through video reviews, product profiles, photo layouts, erotic stories, porn star interviews and advertiser listings. The new magazine will be published quarterly by Tango Blues Entertainment, and will be distributed nationally at porn-related events, as a video box insert, in adult video stores, and by subscription service to fans and video buyers. The release schedule for the quarterly publication will be June (summer issue), September (fall issue), December (winter issue) and March (spring issue).
"I’m excited to be in on the ground floor of this new publishing venture," says Adams. "Not only will Inside Porn magazine promote the industry but it will also offer porn fans plenty of timely news, reviews and gossip about their favorite stars — everything they could possibly want to know."
Billy Herrington, the star of All Worlds Video’s "Conquered," and 2001 GayVN nominee for Best Actor and Best Group Scene for that video, will be the cover model for Inside Porn’s premiere issue (summer 2002). Herrington will make a public appearance to sign copies of the magazine at its launch during International Mr. Leather Weekend in Chicago. The launch party will be at the Cellblock at 11:00 p.m., May 23, 2002, in conjunction with Gay Chicago Magazine and the events centered on the Grabby Awards.

The publication will be available per issue at $4.95 each, or for a year’s subscription (4 issues) at $14.95. Placement of the first issue at the International Mr. Leather Weekend in the promotional bags at events and at parties guarantees immediate distribution of over 5,000 copies directly into the hands of gay adult product consumers. Additional copies have already been committed to several video companies for insertion into their video boxes to go to consumers directly with video purchases, bringing distribution of the first issue to over 10,000 copies.
