(ATLANTA, GA) — An Atlanta city worker at the Englewood Water Treatment Plant in Southeast Atlanta could be fired as soon as next week as the investigation of who allowed a singing telegram stripper to perform at a birthday party on city time continues.

The supervisor of the plant, who is a female, is being blamed and City Attorney Rosalind Rubens Newell is calling for her firing. The firing process will involve the city’s full civil service procedures. Newell is also recommending that others who participated in the event be docked pay for time spent at the party.
