(CHATSWORTH, CA) — The controversy surrounding the National Armed Forces Radio & Television’s refusal to air greetings from the adult industry (gathered by Sin City Films, AVN Magazine and the Erotic Network) has been the subject of discussion on radio shows throughout the country.
The greetings, which have been the subject of a story on Fox News and various newswires, were discussed in further detail on radio stations in Portland, or, Syracuse, NY, Dallas, TX and Birmingham, AL. Thus far, every station has been supportive of Sin City’s efforts to get the messages broadcast via a medium for members of the armed services to view. Even DJ Kevin Miller deep in the “bible belt” of station WERC in Birmingham seemed sympathetic with the situation.
Sin City Entertainment’s voice on the talk radio shows was Director of Marketing, Scott Stein. Stein gave an overview of his appearances, “All of the shows were extremely supportive of us. There are definitely some underlying “Freedom of Speech” issues that the deejays appear to be able to relate to. The fact that industries such as sports and music are able to have representatives send greetings to the troops and the adult industry isn’t well, it’s quite obvious that there is a double standard. The stations have been great and let’s be honest, anytime you can work Adult and the government into the same story, it makes for good radio.”
The greetings are scheduled be broadcast via TEN (the Erotic Networks) and Sin City’s website www.sincityfilms.com. additionally, several stations have agreed to play the audio portions of the greetings and future radio appearances being booked daily. Sin City is clearly sending the message that the adult industry will not be silenced. For additional information and/or interviews contact Scott Stein at Sin City Films @ 818.407.9990 or 310.837.5069.
