(LAS VEGAS, NV) — with all the fanfare of the Academy Awards and the sexiest ladies in the world barely dressed, the AVN Award show was clearly the highlight of the 2002 Adult Expo.

Hustler Video captured 4 awards including the most coveted one of all, ‘Best Selling Tape of the Year’. Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle was easily this year’s biggest selling and most talked about video. It also won the award for ‘Best Music’. Pornovision took home the hardware for ‘Best All-sex Film’ and ‘Best All-sex DVD.’

Snoop Dogg and his entourage joined the Hustler Video family at their table, and stole the show by accepting the awards personally. “When Snoop got on stage, the place just exploded” said Mark Kulkis of Kick Ass Pictures.

“We’re extremely excited about the awards and even more excited about working with Snoop Dogg, again. The success of this video opened up many new avenues for Hustler Video creativity,” said James Baes, Hustler Video Executive Producer. “There’s no one bigger than Snoop. When Larry Flynt wants to do something, he wants it to be the biggest and the best. Years from now, people will look back at this video and realize just how groundbreaking it was.”

“I honestly thought the Best Music category was a lock,” said Craig Jelin, Director of Sales for Hustler Video. Doggystyle features G’d Up from Tha Eastsidaz album and 11 original songs never before released. It’s like getting Snoop’s latest CD and a hardcore video all in one. Jelin continued, “This isn’t just a hardcore sex video, it’s a collector’s item.”

Pornovision, which also won 2 awards, is that rare film that can arouse both couples as well as lovers of hardcore-sex. It contains that perfect blend of both art and sex. “We’re very excited about Pornovision,” said Baes. “It’s our only title shot on film to date, and to win the award for Best All-sex Film, Director Kris Kramski has done something very special.”

Even when the AVN Award show wasn’t going on, Hustler Video was still winning awards. Legendary photographer Clive McLean walked away with the award for Best Director of a Vignette Series at the Adult Stars Magazine Consumer Choice Awards for his Barely Legal line. Baes gushed, “The best selling series in America begins and ends with Clive McLean.”
