(LOS ANGELES, CA) — Wicked Pictures is pleased to announce that it won a total of ten awards at 2002 Adult Video News Awards Show January 11th in Las Vegas, with a full seven trophies going to Brad Armstrong’s runaway success Euphoria.
The sexy cyberpunk thriller virtually swept the major video awards categories last Friday night, snaring trophies for Best Video Feature, Best Actress – Video (Sydnee Steele), Best Actor – Video (Mike Horner), Best Director, Best Screenplay (David Aaron Clark & Brad Armstrong), Best Videography (Jake Jacobs & Perry Tratt), and Best Special Effects (Dick Roundtree). As he took the stage to accept his trophy for creating the year’s Best Video, Armstrong graciously thanked his entire cast and crew, stating, “No director is on his own, no matter how much he’d like to think he is. I thank everyone for making it all turn out so well.”
Brad & Cynthia Willis, the talented design team that’s pioneered the “Wicked Look” since the company’s inception, were also big winners, receiving well-deserved awards for Best Packaging (Beautiful/Nasty), and Best DVD Packaging (the Gate). And fresh from his Best Actor win for Euphoria, Mike Horner returned to the stage a second time to take home the Best Supporting Actor – Video trophy for his fine performance in Wicked’s Wild Thing.
In other awards news, Wicked Pictures was also a winner at Adult Stars Magazine’s Consumer Choice Awards, held in Las Vegas two nights prior to the AVN show. The overall quality of the company’s cable output was recognized with an award for Best Softcore Cable Features.
