Fade to Black from Vivid Video Sweeps Eight AVN Awards

(LAS VEGAS, NV) — the AVN Award for Best Film went to Fade to Black from Vivid Video, which scooped up a total of eight awards for the film at a ceremony Saturday in Las Vegas on Saturday night (January 11th). It is the seventh time Vivid has won a Best Film or Video award in the last 17 years and no other film received as many honors this year in the adult film industry’s most prestigious competition.

Other awards garnered by Fade to Black were:

– Best Director-Film, Paul Thomas;

– Best Supporting Actress-Film, Julie Meadows;

– Best Couples sex Scene

– Film, Taylor Hayes and Joey Ray;

– Best Group sex Scene

– Film, Taylor Hayes, Taylor St. Claire and Dale DaBone;

– Best Non-sex Performance

– Film or Video, Paul Thomas for his on-screen role in the film;

– Best Editing

– Film, Tommy Ganz;

– Best Screenplay

– Film, Dean Nash.

Fade to Black is an intricate story of a young couple (played by Taylor Hayes and Dale DaBone) who come to Los Angeles to make their fortune in adult movies. In its original review of the film, AVN magazine said Fade to Black "Will probably be considered Paul Thomas’ masterwork."
