(LAS VEGAS, NV) — Immediately following The 2002 AVN Awards on the night of January 11th, MarriedCouple.com‘s Kira Reed and Dan Anderson, in association with JasonCurious.com‘s Jason Sechrest, threw a live Internet-broadcasted birthday bash for Kim Chambers. The event was held in a luxurious penthouse suite atop The Venetian Hotel, where the awards show had commenced earlier in the evening.
Kim was still glowing from her AVN win for Best Solo Sex Scene in "Edge Play" from VCA Pictures when she and husband Scott Styles made their grand entrance. Over 250 guests showed for the event including the likes of Brittany Andrews, Tiger, Taimie Hannum, Nicole Sherridan, Voodoo, Jill Kelly, Shayla LaVeaux, Dayton Raines, Haven, Star E. Knight, Ashton Moore, Veronica Hart, Shay Sights, Nick Manning, Chloe Jones, Julie Meadows, Lexington Steele, Mr. Marcus, Lee Stone, Warren G., John Singleton, 2 Short, Soopa Fly, and Al Roker, Jr.
But the most notable headliner was Snoop Dogg, if not for his celebrity status then for the controversy that followed his arrival at the party. Nearly 70 people from Snoop’s entourage made their way through the doors long before the man himself made an entrance. No more than ten minutes after his arrival, Snoop’s posse, led by Hustler publisher’s nephew Dustin Flynt, had taken over Jason Sechrest’s bedroom within the suite, with the Dogg’s security guarding the door for a strict "chicks only, no dudes" policy. When Sechrest, dressed to the nines as his androgynous DV8 Boi character, attempted to enter his own room, he was immediately stopped by Snoop’s security and told he could not enter. After explaining that it was actually his room, he was told, "This is not your room. This room belongs to AVN and it belongs to us now." An argument ensued and eventually The Venetian’s hotel security, under orders from Dan Anderson, Jason Sechrest, and Scott Styles, escorted Snoop and his group from the premises while the party roared on to the wee hours of morning.
"I don’t know how many times I’ve heard him use the word ‘respect’ on different television interviews and award shows," says Chambers’ husband and fellow pornster Scott Styles, "but he couldn’t have been any more disrespectful to the people who graciously allowed him and his friends into their party this evening. This wasn’t his suite and it wasn’t his party. To bring that many people, take over a room that isn’t his, and then make demands on who is and isn’t allowed in is just ridiculous."
