(WARRENDALE, PA) — Last year, Adult DVD Empire was the first to devote an adult awards show entirely to achievement in DVD. Presented last year on the Tera Show, the 2000 Empire Awards were an enormous success, both with the industry and with adult DVD fans in general.
Now, Adult DVD Empire is proud to announce the nominees for the 2001 Empire Awards, with all the categories from last year returning, and a number of new categories appearing for the first time. The nominees were selected from suggestions from Adult DVD Empire’s staff of in-house reviewers, as well as suggestions submitted by the studios themselves. Titles which performed well over the past year, both in sales and in critical acclaim from other reviewers and/or adult sites were also considered. Although there were many worthy titles to pick from, Adult DVD Empire stuck to its policy of nominating only 5 titles, studios or talent for each award, making every nomination one of importance and significance.
A full list of the nominees can be found at Adult DVD Empire. Voting will be done by Adult DVD Empire’s Editorial Staff, in-House reviewers, as well as significant other online reviewers. Winners will be announced February 19th on the Tera Show.
