(ATLANTA, GA) — Airing for the first time tonight (Thursday Dec 19) at 10pm Est., a Court TV special, "Sex, Sports & the Mob" leads viewers to expect to hear the "inside dirt" on the Gold Club.
The Gold Club trial in Atlanta captivated many for most of 2001. It’s too bad the Court TV show doesn’t do the same. The show focuses on the sports stars and celebrities that frequented the club. The show tends to say that Feds leaked out names of sports stars to get the case publicity in the general public since its main goal was to take over the Piedmont Road property in Atlanta.
Instaed of seeing indepth interviews with the attorneys and officials who were involved in the case, we see a lot of stock video footage of gyrating dancers and pictures of famous athletes. The show will air throughout the winter at various times on Court TV, if you have nothing better to do, like get a root canal you might want to check it out.
