(TORONTO, CANADA) — Naked News announced today that Brian Edwards of New York City, NY and Kaye Grant of Phoenix, AZ have won the 2001 NakedNews.com Talent Search Contest. The contest began in July and required candidates to submit a videotape by August 31, 2001.

In all, 50 women and 120 men entered the contest, with 5 women and 20 men selected as semi-finalists. From September through October, only Naked News Club members could view the videos and email in their preferences. Over 5,000 members responded, with the largest number of votes going to Edwards and Grant.

As winners, Edwards and Grant each receive a two-week, all expenses paid trip to Toronto, and during that time will guest as a webcaster on Naked News. Now through November 23, Kaye Grant, age 35, will be featured each day on a different segment of the program. A medical assistant for the past 12 years, Kaye entered the contest at the suggestion of a friend. Brian Edwards, age 32, has been very focused on building his career as an entertainer. By coincidence, he learned that he had won both the Naked News Talent Search Contest and a role in a Broadway show. Regrettably, he will not be able to appear in person on Naked News, but will be sending in an acceptance video for fans to watch.
