Berlin 2001 5th Venus Trade Fair “The Phantom Menace”

(BERLIN, GERMANY) — With an insistent gripping in my stomach that at first I atributed to the effect of the laxative I had taken the previous day to solve certain intimate problems, I boarded an airplane in the company of some friends that would take us via Frankfurt to Berlin to attend the 5th Venus Messe, this year celebrated in the middle of October.

Neither the severe controls, nor the dogs that smell the luggage, (to look for explosives) nor the amiability of the stewardesses, nor the amiable voice of the crew of Lufthansa, were able to calm to me going there nor the return flight. But Berlin, in October, I comfort myself with sun, beer, and not very cold temperatures. And now the chronicle of this 5th edition of the Venus Messe.

This year, and by previous notes sent to the press, (before the 11 of September) they were expecting 300 or more exhibitors, European and American, distributed in five trading pavilions. But only 200 were there, and in the solitairy stands reserved for the companies of the United States you could see posters with the flag of the stars and stripes in which they explained their reasons not to go to Venus and wishing to the visitors a pleasant visit.

The absence of visitors and American exhibitors, also noticed in this edition and the one of some European and Eastern important companies, in other editions present, although the powerful German ships like, Orion, ZBF, Beathe Uhse and Private fit their stands better located in Venus dedicating a good part of their sex weapons to the new technologies and the electronic commerce.
