(HIGHTSTOWN, NJ) — Another successful IVD/ECN Warehouse Show entered the annals of the companies’ histories this past September 29th and 30th.
The event was held exclusively for retailers and closed to the public. Big name stars were on hand and participated in Saturday and Sunday nights’ traditional dinner galas, signings and generally mingled with customers. This year’s incredible talent lineup included: Tera Patrick, Christy Canyon, Cheyenne Silver, Gina Lynn, Cashmere, Serenity, Haven, Tabitha Stevens, Veronica Caine, McKayla Matthews, Dee, Aria, Chloe and Keri Windsor.
"I think it was a great show! It demonstrated our customers’ loyalty that even at such a tragic time in our country so many of our friends/customers traveled from all over to come and spend the weekend with us. I was also amazed at how strong DVDs are becoming with many customers spending half of their movie budgets on DVD format." said Mike Savage, IVD/ECN General Manager.
Kim, IVD National Sales Manager, concurs, "Considering the dreadful events of September 11th, I think we had a tremendous turnout, even bigger than last year! However, a lot of those who attended this year either drove in, took the train or some other means of mass transportation."
"People were ready to get back to the business of life. Every year serious buyers attend our show but there is no denying that there is an increasingly festive atmosphere. Customers were impressed with how our companies can work cohesively as one and provide professional advice as to what to stock. What sells in one market may not sell in others. This information is critical and appreciated by all retailers," said Bo, ECN National Sales Manager.
According to Andy Green, IVD/ECN Operations Manager, there was a raffle held and the winner got a DVD player sponsored by IVD.
The winner was Joel from Easy Video (Wall, NJ). IVD matched all contributions to the raffle and all proceeds went towards the WTC relief fund.
Frank Koretsky, IVD/ECN President had this to say: "We are very happy with the turnout. We achieved our goals of educating our customers by showing them new ideas and ways to do business while providing excellent show specials for all who attended. I would like to thank all our customers, our vendors (Vivid, VCA, Pleasure, Digital Playground, Jill Kelly, Video Team, Seymore Butts, Extreme, Las Vegas Novelties) who supported us in this show and all the girls who gave us their valuable time. Special thanks to Wicked, PHE, TopCo, Doc Johnson and Swedish Erotica for sending talent and sponsoring the dinners."
