(LOS ANGELES, CA) — In a joint statement issued today, Bob Friedland and Jill Kelly announced that Jill Kelly Productions has turned to Simon Wolf to create the major special effects sequences that will be highlighted in JKP’s newest high-end feature production directed by Michael Raven, IMMORTAL.

While Kelly is still in Hawaii shooting new material for upcoming JKP releases, Friedland was lavish in his praise of the special effects Simon Wolf Productions have created for their own high-budget productions. "I’ve just met with John Chambliss and looked at some of the effects work his team are developing for their new feature, A DEVIL’S TAIL, and I’ve never seen anything like them – not even in mainstream. Nobody can touch these guys when it comes to transforming one’s imagination into reality. Quite literally, they can do anything. "

John Chambliss, CEO of Simon Wolf Productions, commented on their creating Mount Olympus for JKP’s IMMORTAL. "After Bob and Michael Raven came to us to create Olympus, I sat in one of our effects bays with my ‘chief wizard’ for nearly a day, kicking around what we thought it should look like – was imperative that this shot be totally believable in order to establish credibility for the feature that rolled out behind it. Once we locked the concept, I got out of the way and let my guy start doing his thing."

Chambliss also mentioned the sequence in which Asia Carrera has a confrontation with Zeus. "This one is actually a bit tougher, because we’re locked into Asia’s pre-existing dialogue footage that was shot with a blue-screen. But then, effects such as these are truly the most fun to create, because they represent the most challenge, relative to handing viewers a fantasy they can accept as reality. When we’re done, I think our work will have contributed to the fantastic results Bob, Jill and Michael have already achieved with IMMORTAL.

Friedland has also just looked at some of the special effects Simon Wolf is creating for the first feature in their new series of co-productions, Simon Wolf’s BLUE ANGEL. "They are incredibly realistic. One of the great things about working with Simon is that his imagination is virtually unlimited – and he has the people to transform his visions into reality."
