(ATLANTA, GA) — Jurors, lawyers, witnesses, and all others caught up in the whirlwind know as the Gold Club/Steven Kaplan racketeering trial enjoyed their last long weekend in a while, this last weekend in July. Atlanta federal court Judge Hunt says Fridays will no longer be off days as the trial lingers into its fourth month.

With perhaps two months to go the pace is being quickened up as another juror was lost, and another alternate added to the current 12.

Last week ended with tales of additional credit card fraud allegations by patrons. But the most memorable and talked about testimony around Atlanta was the 20 or so minutes Atlanta Brave, Andrew Jones spent on the stand. Jones, a fan favorite in Atlanta declined comment on his role and testimony, but teammates and club officials offered support and positive feedback on Jones’ actions.

The prosecution could go many ways with its witnesses this week, updates throughout the week.
