(ATLANTA, GA) — As in any case that goes to trial, throw out all the articles, the grandstanding by attorneys in and out of court, and analysis by talking heads. It is the jury that matters, and now experts are trying to analyze what has been called by one attorney, "the best jury ever".

As the Steven Kaplan/Gold Club racketeering trial moves into its ninth week, the jury is starting to receive more attention and focus. This seven man, five women panel has been through all the twists, turns and let’s say tabledances of the Gold Club trial in federal court in Atlanta.

We learned in jury selection that attorneys tried to weed out possible religious jurors and it is known that one regular customer of the Gold Club was "struck" by the defense. As the prosecution’s case lumbers on, the jury has appeared to pay less and less attention. Experts don’t want to read anything into this at this stage, but is the prosecution losing the jury? These jurors were told to prepare for a long trial, and most appear to in it for the long haul. Time will only tell, and those inside the courtroom will continue looking for jury clues, especially as the defense takes center stage, hopefully soon!
