The second major change is our site overhaul. If you haven’t noticed yet, Adult DVD Empire has a whole new look. Not only have we fleshed out our film categories, we’ve reorganized the entire site. With our old site, a user could browse titles by categories (All Sex, Feature, Compilation, Fetish, etc.) and then by genre within each category (All Girl, Amateur, Classic, Oral, Multi-Angle, Gangbang, etc.). The new organization, allows the shopper to not only browse by category and genre, but in certain categories we’ve added "Themes." The themes are designed to help a shopper find the exact type of movie they are looking for, even if they don’t know the title of the movie for which they are searching. For instance, if you were looking for a feature with a wedding theme, you would click the "Feature" category and then the "Brides/Weddings" theme. The result is a list of eight wedding-themed features.
Another big part of Adult DVD Empire’s redesign is the addition of more site features. The most useful of these is the "Series Information" tool. On the product description page of every product there is a field called "Series Information." This enables the user to cross reference the title they are looking at with the rest of the movies in that series. For instance, if you were looking at Hustler’s "Barely Legal #2" you could view all of the other Barely Legal titles in that series with one click and add them to your order.
Other useful features include thumbnails next to each product listing, the separation of Gay DVD Empire from the main DVD page and the reorganization of all of our adult novelties. The thumbnails provide a "glance" at the product before you click through to the product description. This will save our customers from going to the product pages of products they may not be interested in buying. If you’re a shopper with low bandwidth, don’t worry – they can be turned off to speed up your page loads.
Gay DVD Empire has its own store now. Previously, if you were looking for a gay title, you had to sort through tons of straight porn to find something that interested you.
