(WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA) — Stable President Donald von Wiedenman, winding up a marathon month-long negotiating session, announced today that industry favorite Blake Harper [http://BlakeHarper.com] has accepted a partnership position with the production company von Wiedenman founded in 1998.
Harper, who moved to Los Angeles from San Francisco at the beginning of June to get settled in before starting full-time with Stable, had been looking for an opportunity that encompassed his past three award-winning years in the industry. One of his considerations was to gradually move from one side of the camera to the other.
"I had already decided to limit the number of features I was going to appear in this year," says Harper, "before Donald approached me about joining Stable. My interest in the industry has held steady due to the vast spectrum of opportunities it has presented. From my early vanilla scenes in 1998 to my eye-opening bisexual role in Stable’s "Goosed 3: A Bisexual Love Affair" just a few weeks ago — and all the kink in between — I’ve experienced virtually every sexual act imaginable. "It was time to use that experience." Harper continues, "and move ahead. Joining Stable as a partner is a personal and professional milestone that continues to feed my interest and hold my attention within the adult entertainment field."
At the moment, Stable is in a position of unparalleled growth due in part to its high profile productions and its unprecedented number of GayVN nominations in its first two years [http://GayVN.com]. This year Stable took home two GayVN awards, Best Bisexual Video for "Goosed Again!" and Best Art Direction for "The Servant," in which Harper starred.
Harper brings his own award-winning background and versatile, nice-guy personality to his new position. In addition to receiving GayVN’s Performer of the Year award, he was the recipient of Men in Video’s Hottest Ass Award and Hottest Cocksucker Award, and he walked away with the Best Supporting Actor award at the Grabby’s two weeks ago [http://www.GRABBYS.com].
By all accounts, Harper is one of the most popular performers in the business. "Blake has a first-hand knowledge of the industry that is very different than my own," explains von Wiedenman of his decision to hand over many of the responsibilities that he himself has administered since the company began. "As he becomes familiar with Stable’s long-term goals, he will become more involved in the overall marketing and decision-making process."
"I’ve recently experienced a lot of changes in my life," says Harper." I choose to focus on the positive aspects, and this partnership with Stable is one of them. I plan to contribute to the ongoing success of Stable by maintaining the high standard by which it operates." Harper has already moved into the Stable offices and is currently focusing on the preproduction aspects of Stable’s next two projects, both of which star Harper.
"I was already committed to those projects before Donald even mentioned the partnership. My arrangement with Stable is structured so that I am free to perform for other companies should I chose to, but right now I’m not taking on anything new for at least the next few months."
"I didn’t build Stable from the ground up to run it alone," concludes von Wiedenman, "although that’s how it seems to have worked out – until now. I would not have brought Blake into Stable in such a critical, high profile capacity if I weren’t going to listen to what he has to say and act on his input.
"More than anything else, however, Blake possesses two of the most important traits that I value in both my personal and professional life – and those are honesty and loyalty. In the end, that is all that really matters when two people are in any kind of relationship."
