A reader from Ohio writes:
I live in Ohio and my husband and I went to a strip club recently called Palace in the Pines. The front half is bikini and the back half is full nudity. Before we came I called and found out that women weren’t allowed in the back, which angered me greatly.
So while in the front half I went to double confirm this info with the bartender who was female. The bartender had no idea women weren’t allowed in the back and didn’t even seem to care. I was so mad that I confronted the man who seemed to be the owner of the joint and he wouldn’t give me a reason why nor would he give my husband one. I was so furious for being told that I couldn’t do something because I was a woman.
I went to the club because I’m bi and enjoy strip clubs, and then I get told I, a paying customer, is not allowed [into part of the club because of her gender]. Is there anything I can do? [Is there] anyone that can help me? I thought the women on your staff would be interested in knowing what a crappy place that is incase they’re ever traveling in the area and were interested in checking it out.
[Unfortunately we don’t have a correspondent in Ohio. Perhaps there is someone out there who will volunteer for the job. -Ed.]
