Bold Magazine Publisher Michael Davis was interviewed by Susan Block of the Susan Block show (a sex show in LA). Mrs. Block, about 50 plus herself, asked Michael Davis for an interview. Davis Kindly granted one.
Davis explained how He is a Mainstream Entertainment Publisher that’s Pushing the envelope in Publishing like many others before him. Davis said, "With the Internet out there and so much electronic Media, there is a Generation out there who will miss growing up on magazines as we did as kids unless a publisher like me reaches them and creates excitement again with a magazine. You must break the rules a bit, and I believe we do that in Bold. Being one of the youngest Publishers in the country I feel obligated to my generation, and in return my generation connects with me."
"Finally a publisher that is of the same age his Market is, 18-35, no other magazine in the world has this dynamic today but Bold! Young people have a great opportunity to Learn and Interact with a magazine in a social setting and share information together. Let me elaborate: With the Internet and online Publications people stay cooped up in a room alone, the information they retain makes them more dependent on the computer. With magazines one can read material together out in the fresh air and have coffee and interact still as a social being. I feel this to be very important and should not be overlooked as it could be the downfall of our society as we know it. We are Social beings and need to interact with each other and not be locked up in rooms glued to a computer screen. That’s no way to live."
Susan Block attacked Davis in the interview by saying why didn’t Davis return her calls when she needed his help. Her Husband Maxx who was arrested by the LAPD on charges too personal to mention publically. The interview took a spin on why Davis did not call Susan back and give her money to bail her old Husband out. She said her fans want to know why he did not help. First of all Davis gives to charities of His choice like AMFAR for aids research and PETA for Animals. He has no interest with an old couple showing sex acts or talking about sex on a show, although he is a First Amendment advocate of free speech, he feels Susan Block does not represent his Generation and Sex. He still featured Susan Block in a "sex addicts" article in April’s issue of Bold, Now Davis states he is sorry he Gave Susan Block a Platform in his Magazine after she tried to basically extort Money from him in an Interview that was supposed to be related to the Photo show. How tacky Susan Block Michael Had nothing to do with your Husband going to Jail or the alleged charges his daughter had pressed. If I were you I would not try to push your old butt in a young crowd that accepts Dr. Ruth before you any day.
