(NORTHVALE, NJ) — Directrix, Inc. (OTC BB: DRCX), is pleased to announce that Pleasure Productions, a major force in the adult video industry that has been providing quality content to consumers for over 15 years, will employ The Directrix Network to stream its premium adult video-on-demand content.

The Directrix Network leverages Akamai Technologies Inc.’s globally distributed network of 8,000 servers designed to deliver all forms of Web content from servers optimally located for an end user’s request.

Pleasure Productions will be utilizing The Directrix Network to offer full-length adult movies, from its collection of over 5,000 active titles on a video-on-demand (VOD) format, over the Internet. Approximately one in four regular Internet users – or 21 million Americans – visit one of the more than 60,000 adult sites on the Web at least once a month. Analysts from Forrester Research say that these sites generate at least $1 billion a year in revenue. This market is ready to expand, with worldwide cable modem subscriptions projected to leap from 2.2 million at the end of 1999 to almost 12.7 million in 2003, according to a report by Cahners In-Stat Group. During the same period, worldwide revenues from cable modem services will jump from 1 billion dollars to over 5 billion dollars, the report says. The Gartner Group expects the DSL-broadband business to experience growth in excess of 100 percent per year through 2005 and the number of DSL subscribers will double in 2001 to 3 million and reach 13 million by 2005. The revolutionary delivery mechanisms of The Directrix Network will provide the fast and reliable delivery Pleasure Productions needs to tap into this burgeoning market. "Pleasure Productions is extremely pleased to be working with Directrix in bringing our extensive video catalog to the Internet,” said Frank Koretsky, President of Pleasure Productions. "The Directrix Network will provide high-quality streaming of our adult features to our customers throughout the world."

"We are delighted that Pleasure Productions, a recognized leader in the adult video industry, has selected The Directrix Network, to feature its online video catalog," said J. Roger Faherty, Chairman and CEO of Directrix. "Video-On-Demand will be adopted much more quickly on the Internet than through the traditional cable outlets, and the adult entertainment sector has always pushed the leading edge of technology. Directrix is proud that Pleasure Productions has chosen The Directrix Network to push that technological envelope."
