(WARRENDALE, PA) — The much talked about Empire Awards are close at hand. VCA Pictures, the studio responsible for such adult blockbusters as "White Lightning" and "Chasing Stacy", has been nominated for 12 Empire Awards. The Empire had a chance to talk with Wit Maverick, a representative from VCA, last week and he commented on the Empire Awards.
"Quality is job one, and anything else is secondary," Maverick said concerning VCA’s productions. "Our slogan plainly states our mission – setting the standard of excellence." When asked his feelings on VCA’s numerous nominations Maverick said, "the titles that have been recognized are the titles that we worked the hardest on. That makes us feel that our work here is worthwhile. " Maverick further added, "the nominations are very encouraging; we’ll keep working along those lines."
