(CHATSWORTH, CA) — Al Gore and Joe Lieberman are about to get a fervent endorsement they probably would just as soon not have.

When adult Internet industry leaders gather in New Orleans September 22-24 for their IA2000 conference, one of the best attended sessions is likely to be the one called “Adult Community Meeting: Vote Democratic!”

The moderator of the session will be respected First Amendment attorney Paul J. Cambria Jr., who makes no secret of his opinion that “a Republican or other conservative President and Congress could greatly hinder the success and growth of the adult Internet industry.” The 4,000 attendees at IA2000 are likely to support his view wholeheartedly, and based on the Gore campaign’s resistance to a fund raiser scheduled for the Playboy Mansion during last month’s Democratic National Convention, their endorsement will not be welcome. The Playboy event was moved to a Universal Studios site.

“Don’t underestimate the ramifications of right wing government on your e-business or your power as a webmaster,” Mr. Cambria has warned adult Internet executives. “As an individual who does business with hundreds – even thousands – of people on the World Wide Web, you can make a difference. Come together with other webmasters and industry leaders and learn what you can do to safeguard the future of the adult Internet industry.”

IA2000, the world’s largest adult Internet/Audiotext trade show, has attracted a record number of companies and attendees. It is the only truly practical adult Internet business-to-business marketplace where technology firms, Web hosts and service providers, charge card processors and other firms go to form relationships with adult sites that generate tens of millions of visits daily.

The one-hour open meeting is scheduled for 9:00 a.m.on September 22. Moderator Cambria is a partner in the firm Lipsitz Green Fahringer Roll Salisbury & Cambria, LLP of Buffalo and Los Angeles. Mr. Cambria has argued several cases before the Supreme Court of the United States for clients that include Hustler publisher Larry Flynt and musician Marilyn Manson.

Other seminars at IA2000 will include “The Fight Against Child Pornography,” “Getting Started on the Web: What Every Newbie Should Know,” and sessions discussing credit card processing issues and government regulations.

IA2000 has attracted a record number of companies and attendees among dot-coms, technology firms, Web hosts, service providers, charge card processors and other firms. IA2000 is affiliated with AVN Online, the definitive trade magazine for adult Internet commerce and Adult Video News, the premiere trade journal for the adult video industry.
