(CHATSWORTH, CA) — Mark Anthony started out as talent and continues to fuck his way around the world. He has taken over the Erotic City series started by Sean Michaels which will see Mark jetting across the world to exotic locales taking in the culture and sampling the fine assortment of international pussies each region has to offer.
He talks to Toby Dammit from Elegant Angel about his new career as a director, and find out what he has to say about life, liberty and the pursuit of pussy!
Toby Dammit: How long have you been talent?
Mark Anthony: For about three years. I was asking around about how to get into the business and a friend told me to call World Modeling. I went up there and signed up with them and then a couple days later a couple of producers called me and I just started working. And I’ve been working since then.
TD: So you actually found work going into World Modeling and signing up?
MA: Yeah, everyone always says that. I went in there and a couple days later I got two phone calls from two different companies and I just kept getting referred to other companies.
TD: How did you get into doing behind the scenes stuff?
MA: I just look at what everyone else was doing. Then I told myself I should buy a camera and I did. I went to the Cannes film Festival this year. And there were a lot of beautiful girls there, girls from Prague, France, Budapest, and I was looking for the best looking girl I could find. Found her. Her name was Linda and she was from Prague. I asked her if she wanted to shoot a scene and she said, “Yes.” So we shot some stuff out on the beach, because it’s topless over there. Brought her back to my hotel room and shot an anal scene with her. I brought it back and I showed it to Dion and he liked it, and he wanted to buy it. So I sold it to him. And then he was like, “Hey why don’t you direct a movie for us?” I said, “Why not.”
TD: That’s pretty good. The first time out of the gate you sold the tape. There was no problem. That’s great.
MA: It worked out really good.
TD: A lot of people spend years trying to get that first sale.
MA: I guess I got lucky. I got lucky signing up with World Modeling and I got lucky bringing in the tape to Dion. I told him what I was really interested in doing was traveling and doing scenes with new girls in the Philippines, Indonesia, Brazil, or even go back to Europe to go to Prague. He was like, “That’s a good idea.” He already had a movie that Sean Micheals used to do that was a travel movie. So he was like, “Why don’t you take over that line?”
TD: So have you gone yet? Have you done a couple trips?
MA: The first thing that’s coming out is Mark Anthony’s Erotic City #7: Live from Indonesia. What I did was fly over to Indonesia and then to the Philippines, Most of the girls I got were from Indonesia but there are a couple that are from the Philippines. I went over there and met a couple of girls that were strippers and they were interested in doing a movie so it worked out for me. I got all brand new girls. It was their first time doing adult videos. They were like real happy and excited to do it. All of them did good scenes. You would think that they did it before, because they did such a good job. But all of them were brand new.
TD: You know I’ve been to Europe a few times and I’ve even shot over there, and it always seemed that whenever I shot stuff with a brother, the girls really wanted to work with him. If they had their choice between two guys that were pretty similar, they would choose the brother. Did you find that at all? It’s like the curiosityfactor.
MA: Yeah, I don’t know too many other brothers that have been to Prague. So when they get somebody that’s different, I guess they want to try them out. For me that’s a plus, that makes it easier for me to find girls. The girls do better scenes because it’s something new other than being with a white guy.
TD: Are you going to Brazil next?
MA: Yeah, my next trip is Brazil. I’m gonna be down there for a month. In Brazil they have all different types of girls. There are a lot of mixed girls. They have Spanish girls, black girls, Portuguese, Italian, but they also have a lot of mulatto girls. Girls that are mixed with black or Spanish. The women are so beautiful down there. So I definately have to do one down there. Maybe more than one. Then after that I definately want to go to Prague, because there are some beautiful women there. I want to make it a different country each time. I may go back to Indonesia or Brazil down the line, but I want to do one in Brazil, one in Europe. I might go to Japan, or Cambodia. I’m willing to go anywhere to fine new cute girls that are willing to do it on tape.
TD: Why do you think you like to travel so much?
MA: It’s exciting to go to places and see how other people live and how other people react to doing adult movies. To see what their attitudes are like and see what their girls are like. When I was in Indonesia, their attitude was so different from the girls here in LA. Here they do it and they have fun and everything but the girls that I shot in Indonesia where really into it. It was like new and exciting to them. They had never seen an adult video before. Actually it was their first time making a video. Some of them were nervous, but they were very excited. You could see the nervousness. It’s kind of good that you see it, but once the camera was going they loosened up a little and kind of forgot that the camera was there. You could it happen on camera, they went from being nervous to having a great time and having fun having sex.
