(BARCELONA, SPAIN) — The International Barcelona Film Festival is polishing the details for the upcoming eighth edition, October 4th – 8th. At the venue La Farga (L’Hospitalet – Barcelona, Spain) a lot of the most famous erotic artists from around the world will again meet at what is known as “the hottest event of the year” and novelties from the adult film producers as well as all other kind of erotic products will be exhibited in this paradise of adult-only.
Many attractions will be offered to the visitors and new categories for the Ninfa award that honors the best of the world’s adult production. Among the new categories there are Best Film 100% Sex, Best DVD, Best Lesbian Scene, among others. International Film Grup, one of the exhibitors, has already confirmed the assistance of many well known stars like Rocco Siffredi, Laura Angel, Silvia Saint, Daniella, Sandra, Bridgette, Toni Ribas, Max Cortés, Dolly Golden, Aida, Rumika, Foxy, Marc Borrow, Steve, Lolli Pop, Kelly, Chipy Marlow, Betina Campbell, Tavaila Griffin, Nacho Vidal, Sara Bernat and Sophie Evans. Of course, there are also many directors, like the Spanish José Mª Ponce, Narcis Bosch, Dani Rodríguez, Conrad Son and Tatiana Lies as well as international names like Hans Nussbaum, Max Bellochio, Marc Dorcel, Alain Payet and Luca Damiano.
The list grows steadily as the rest of the exhibitors announce the stars they will bring and the professionals confirm their availability.
Another novelty will be the First Hispanic Congress of Adult Webmasters, a well-needed get-together for the professionals that make Internet an erotic experience. Issues to be treated, among others, are search engine optimization, how to bring more traffic to a website and how to generate revenues from a web with erotic content. There will also be a debate about “The Substitution of the Video by the DVD.”
The artworks participating in the 5th Erotic Art Contest Memorial Josep Blanc, will be exhibited, as usual, in La Farga during the celebration of the Festival. Among other complementing and cultural activities Barcelona Erotic Film Festival, several debates will take place before the celebration of the event, discussing issues related to sexuality and eroticism: “Erotic proposals on the Internet: for and against” and “Religions’ influence on the individuals sexuality”. The debates will take place in a cultural center in Barcelona and will be broadcasted by BTV, Barcelona Televisión. Also before the opening of the Festival, the feature film “Boogie nights” will be projected and afterwards there will be a round table with several Spanish directors of adult cinema.
The Barcelona Erotic Film Festival will be open in La Farga (L’Hospitalet – Barcelona) from noon until 10 o’clock at night, except Saturday and Sunday, when the doors will open at 10 a.m. The price of the ticket is 3.000 pesetas. A ticket for the full 5 days costs 10.000 pesetas and a weekend pass costs 5.000. The organization hopes to increase, for this eighth edition, both the numbers of visitors, that last year reached more than 35.000, as well as exhibitors, estimated to grow from 65 to 80.
