(WORCESTER, MA) — A Warren man has been charged in federal court with possession of child pornography.

United States Attorney Donald K. Stern announced today that CHRISTOPHER BOUCHER, age 31, of 1172A Main Street, Warren, Massachusetts, was charged with unlawful possession of child pornography.

The information alleges that on August 12, 1999, in Warren, Massachusetts, BOUCHER knowingly possessed computer files, which contained fifteen images of child pornography, in violation of Federal law.

U.S. Attorney Stern stated: “Computer-generated child pornography represents a growing and significant challenge to law enforcement, but one which we will vigorously prosecute.”

If convicted, BOUCHER faces up to five years in prison, a fine of $250,000, as well as criminal forfeiture to the United States of his computer equipment.

The case was investigated by Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. It is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney John M. Hodgens, Jr., Chief of Stern’s Worcester Office.
