(HOUSTON) — Rick’s Cabaret International Inc. (Nasdaq:RICK – news), the Houston-based adult entertainment company and Internet Content Provider, announced today the launch of our widely anticipated DancerDorm Web site, www.dancerdorm.com, by offering the first week free.
“The beta testing for DancerDorm’s video software has gone smoothly,” said Eric Langan, CEO and president of the Company, “We have opened the site to the public and feel confident that we have a superior product in the live feed adult arena.” Mr. Langan continued, “We have begun promoting DancerDorm to webmasters through our `cash for traffic’ program at www.rickscash.com.”
Mr. Langan added, “In addition to our initial Web site www.amateurdan.com, the Company’s main website will be featured at www.ricks.com. The Company is currently updating and improving the ricks.com website. We will be adding many new features as well as a complete new look and feel for the site.”
DancerDorm.com will host 32 cameras that will capture Rick’s dancers in a voyeuristic setting as they carry on their daily lives. The Company owns an 8,000 square foot facility that includes several hidden cameras as well as cameras in all living areas. Members are able to track the dancers through the Dorm by clicking on the mapped out cameras. The site allows members to chat with the dancers live and watch them in real time.
Rick’s Cabaret International Inc. opened its first Rick’s Cabaret in Houston in 1983, and went public with its IPO in 1995, making it the world’s first publicly traded topless entertainment business. The Company currently operates under the name “Rick’s” in three locations nationwide, and one location in San Antonio, Texas, under the name XTC Cabaret, and its 93%-owned subsidiary, Taurus Entertainment Companies Inc.
