(SANTA FE) — There will be no censoring of the Internet at Santa Fe Public Libraries. At least it looks that way for now.
The Internet Access Task Force passed some milder resolutions that’ll be recommended to the library’s board of directors. The resolutions suggest ways the library staff and the community can ensure that Internet access complies with standards of decency.
The recommendations were a far cry from what Santa Fe resident Jose Villegas (vee-a-gas) had hoped for. He got the Council to create the task force after his daughter discovered several Internet sites he described as pornographic while using a Santa Fe public library computer.
